FRAMINGHAM HIGH SCHOOL  GSA

OUR MISSION:

Framingham High School GSA a student Gay/Straight Alliance at Framingham High School that is dedicated to creating safer schools in the Framingham Public School district for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Questioning (LGBTQ) youth.  There are three areas in which Common Ground feels its mission lies:

 

 

1. Educating the Framingham Public School Community (staff, faculty, and students) about homophobia, bullying and other issues and events that affect LGBTQ youth to ensure a safer and more respectful learning environment for all students at the High School.

2. Creating a safe and social area for LGBTQ students and their straight allies to meet weekly to discuss current and relative LGBTQ issues that are pertinent in their everyday lives. 

3. Creating a supportive network with organizations within the Framingham Community, other High School GSAs, and adult LGBTQ organizations.

4. Provide a scholarship for 1 or 2 seniors who have been active in issues concerning civil rights and safety for our LGBTQ youth.
